Softball: Awaiting Your Reticent Love
Dear People,
It's early Friday morning and we are still a few players short of the necessary minimum for a game. I need not remind you that if we fail to muster a quorum this week, we will have gone nearly a whole month without softball. As you probably know, the health consequences of such lethargy range from viscous crud on the arteries to atrophy of the liver and spleen. It's not pretty. And let's not forget the moral implications. I am reminded of Spinoza and Hegel and Wittengstein, all of whom wrote with vigor on the ethical imperative of robust exertion, preferably on a synthetic green sheathing. So stop being coy and make that commit...Ray
