Softball: Brief Notes on Technology and the Crown
Dear People,
Congratz to all on last week’s jocund 14-9 paragon of lush recreational mirth, complete with John’s bittersweet post-game farewell and that succulent array of lean’n’hearty barbecue fare. Unfortunately, I have little time to say more because my beloved iMac is now arbitrarily crashing every 10-15 minutes, and while I realize this is simply its own frisky way of saying that it cherishes both me and my gentle caress on its sensorial virgin keyboard, I have not ruled out the possibility of eviscerating it’s tiny little micro-electronic innards. Frankly, this constant rebooting makes me pine for the simpler times of 17th century London, with it’s sturdy wooden abaci and comparatively benign outbreaks of tertiary syphilis and scurvy.
In any case, and speaking of, next weekend does indeed happen to be the 322nd anniversary of the despicable and wholly unjustified Meal Tub Plot against James II of England. As most of you certainly know, the Jamesmesiter held off a treacherous power grab by that sordid terrorist-wench, Lady Powis of Earl, and while the noble King was at one point trapped in a large vat of Yorkshire pudding, he was soon able to suppress the conspiracy and save the throne! And therefore, there will be a game at Codornices this SUNDAY at 11AM, IF I get enough commits by this Friday morning….Raymond

Softball: Punctual
Dear People,
There will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 11AM, and as of now, there are still four slots left.
This week’s park fee is $2, and please note that the field is reserved at both 1 and 3PM. Thus, any players arriving after 10:58AM risk being treated as the pernicious organizational evildoers that they are….Raymond 845-7552

Softball: Another Chronological Challenge
Dear People,
A gentle reminder that this Sunday morning is daylight savings, which means that if you forget to you set your clock back one hour before you fall asleep, you will arrive at Codornices at 9:58, which is just like 10:58, except that it's 60 minutes earlier and you'll be the only person there and you'll feel like a bozo...Ray
