Softball: A Brief Appeal to Those on the Fence
Dear People,
There will be a game tomorrow at Codornices at 11AM. As of now, we are still a bit short of even a minimum quorum, and thus I would very much appreciate a few more commits. Obviously by giving the go-ahead, I've shot whatever organizational leverage I usually have over your incessant thirst for maximal flexibility. I understand that, but the fact is that I simply don't have the time to beg, and regardless, I believe there are enough of you out there who realize that when you force me to grovel by phone on early Saturday mornings, what you're really doing is allowing the corrosive influence of vicarious humiliation to gnaw away at your own meager reserves of remaining self-worth. Pity.
In any case, tomorrow's game is $2, but as usual, that includes ample free parking and an impressive complimentary selection of freshly imported Lithuanian river eel....Raymond 845-7552
