Softball: Mind Games
Dear People,
Chris Fure's team denarded my own 12-4, and I assure you that's not a verb I use without grave and brooding introspection (if for no other reason than it doesn't really exist). And yet how else can I explain the fact that Steve Bedrick's curve, slide and suction balls held my own side to one solitary run in the last eight innings?! Yeah, one piss-ant run, and that's despite the fact we had a veritable murderer's row of muscle-laden power, including Jim McGuire, Mike Davey, Pace and Stefano---all of whom blend copious reserves of testosterone, sagacity and totally disarming charm in an irrefutable credit to masculinity itself.
Of course as our roster-leading quartet, they were still feckless as all get-go, and that's something they're gonna' have to reflect on for a long, long time, indeed.
Now in fairness, and as their captain, I suppose I also contributed to the general sense of our tragically rudderless doom. The bitter truth is that I went hitless on four at bats, and that's in spite of Chris ordering his entire defense into a radical left shift whenever I came to the plate, thereby leaving right field basically barren, nude and brazenly unguarded! That I couldn't exploit such reckless acts of ego-crushing tauntage is, admittedly, a breathtaking indictment of my very essence as a dominating jock qua jock.
The point is that while some would say that I should immediately consult a state-licensed batting coach, I think you know that I know that what I really need is a gutsy Freudian analyst who is deeply seasoned in the delicate restorative therapy of rank athletic failure. And therefore there will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 11, IF I get enough commits by this Friday morning

Dear People,
There will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 11, and as of now, there are still two slots left.
Please bring $4 for the field, which I know you bitterly resent, but is also absolutely necessary if this community is to avert a calimitous fiscal cliff
