Softball: Acts of Self-Revelation
Dear People,
In an unseemly spectacle of appalling recreational heartbreak, my team methodically drained the vital life blood from Chris Fure's entire contingent, 19-9. The fact is that the carnage began on the very first pitch of the game, when Stefano blasted Jerry's legendary pinky-ball to the orb-yearning succulents beyond deep center-right, and with that four-bagger setting the tone, we only grew ever more dominant and taunting. Indeed, by the 6th-inning we had so much robust momentum on a 17-4 lead that I decided to personally try my hand at shortstop. That's right, shortstop---the mother of all ramparts---and the upshot is that I played with such stirring lack of incompetence that it has completely changed my perspective on the conceptual limitations of my own potential potential. My p.p., if you will.
Sure, I'm already 55 and darting through the decade-long dusk before my inevitable Medicarel years, but if neither Anthony nor Ali could get past my steady yet barely-seasoned shortie's glove, then I would gently suggest that there's no longer any reason why I can't pursue my life-long dream of becoming a fetal neurosurgeon. I don't mention this lightly, of course, and I wasn't going to bring it up at all, but if this is what it takes to avoid the elephant in the field that was Chris Fure's utterly feckless leadership, then I'm willing to do it. And therefore there will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 11, IF I get enough commits by this Friday morning
