Softball: The Brazen Dynamics of Communal Evolution

Dear People,

My team beat Ken’s, 18-10, in a convivial trouncing of unusual good cheer. Even better, I was able to aerobically ensnare two perfectly innocent passers-by, thus bringing a delicate minimal quorum to our first underpeopled game in over a year. For this particular match, the contributions of Veronica and Marina were simply incalculable, and of course, the joke’s on them, since they’re now stuck on this list for the rest of their lives.

Of course, I’m well aware that in my quest for 18 players, many of you think my willingness to accost any and every ambulatory being within a 200 yard radius lacks a certain "dignity," or "self-respect" or "doctrinal foundation upon which to contest official charges of criminal assault." Fair enough. Yet for all your snickering, I would gently remind you that many of our so-called regulars were recruited over the years in the very same way.

I’m not going to give you exact numbers, since that would obviously make everyone reading this feel tremulous and unclean, but the hard reality is that the organic growth of our community has always been nurtured by raw social slutitude, and frankly, I think the American people already understand this. And therefore there will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 11AM, IF I get enough commits by this Friday morning…Raymond

PS: Ruth is missing her beloved glovesmith glove (small, brown and glorious); If you picked it up at the end of last week’s game, be a hero and let me know!

Softball: Causal Readings in the Home and Garden Section

Dear People,

There will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 11AM, and as of now, there are still four slots left.

This week’s field fee is still an oppressive $2, but for this week only, that includes a complimentary installation of Alumax Fascia Brackets, for all your gutter needs….Raymond
