Softball: Cyberspace and the Battle of Lexington
Dear People,
The forces of righteous athletic pride have once again triumphed over the jejune obstructionism of dated royalist thinking. There WILL be a game tomorrow at 4PM at Cordenessis field (across from the rose garden on Euclid). As usual, please bring bats, balls and mitts if you have them, and PLEASE show up no later than 4:15. Friends are also welcome as our quorum is proud, yet fragile.
I must say that as much as I love all of you as individuals, as a group you have set the paradigm for cybersolipsisticslothiositude (i.e....for the 1/2 of you on this list of 50+ who allegedly remain committed to playing an occasional game, in the Bay area, and yet consistently silent, the courtesy of a simple one sentence reply would be a welcome excursion into the tattered realm of communicative etiquette). In any case, on this July 4th weekend, with the majestic specter of the 2nd Continental Congress lofting coyly above the brittle soils of Cordenessis Field, the glory that is softball remains ever in place. See you tomorrow...Ray (845-7552)
