Softball: Succession (Early ’n Brief)
Dear People,
My team beat Jeremy’s, 21-15, smashing forever the fledgling but pernicious belief that playing on my side had somehow become an aerobic metaphor for boarding the Titanic.
In any case, I have no time to woo you and in fact I have no intention of doing so, for as I said last week, I will soon be out of town, far, far away from you and yours. Fortunately, though, Jay Z has agreed to organize this week’s game, so he will be writing all of you with the official announcement. Please send your commits to HIM, NOT me, and may you flourish in my absence, secure in the knowledge that at least for this week, the iron boot of my reign will finally be lifted…Raymond
