Softball: Liberal
Dear People,
Jonny’s inability to lead, inspire or just simply garner the tiniest smidgen of respect for his captainship continued unabated, and yet his team still crushed my own, 20-15. The fact is that my side was a tad better on paper, objectively played better, was better-looking, AND flourished under my tutelage. Yet at the end of the day, we had left three runners on base three separate times, showing once again that sport and justice are the most bitterly contentious of nature’s abstract lovers.
Still, it wasn’t just three stolen grand slams that sealed our fate. In fact, equally critical was the sudden revelation that Anthony is an emerging superstar who’s been hiding in a superhero’s outfit, and while the usual Captain America/Frozone/Batman attire is now a compelling part of our game, it’s also clear that his hitting, fielding and dancing become frightfully more focused when he’s shorn of the dumb-ass cape. Yes, he’s beloved as the Capeman, but I think we can all agree that the tight red leotards with the giant ‘S’ are more than sufficient.
In any case, after recently listening to another delightful hour of AM talk radio, I have decided to do my part and announce a modest adjustment in the community moratorium on new male recruits; Specifically, any foreign softball-lovin’ married gay couples who have been living, working or teaching Darwinian evolution illegally in the US for three or more years are now welcome to immediately join our community. I trust that you will all spread the word, and therefore there will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 11AM, IF I get enough commits by this Friday morning…Raymond

Softball: Witchcraft
