Softball: Urban (Cantankerous Musings on a Match Deferred)
Dear People,
First of all, I do not dislike nature. Indeed, I adore the so-called cuddly mammals, and can think of nothing more salubrious than to snuggle with an adorable labrador retriever, a precious grizzly cub or perhaps an entire pride of sated Tanzanian Mountain lions after theyve devoured a freshly captured slab of local raw rutting goat. Having said that, though, I think last Sundays utterly capricious and game-destroying deluge put the totality of the Eco-organic gestalt in stark existential relief, and I for one am not ashamed to say that while it may be a conceptual necessity, "the natural world" is usually cruel, generally yucky and totally overrated.
Oh sure, the parched soil craves rain, but why must it arrive just minutes before the only aerobic salvation in which most of you could ever frolic? Well, I may not be environmentally correct, but I happen to think that nature doesnt care in the slightest, and while she is replete with wondrous components like Darwinian evolution and sweet buttered corn, the hard reality is that she is also a swirling and inscrutable cauldron of, among other things, pigeons, pigeon caca and tertiary syphilis. Perhaps I frighten you with the bluntness of my pen, yet in all candor, I think its time to wake up and smell the Memorial Day schnitzel. And therefore, there will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 11AM, IF I get enough commits by this Friday morning

Softball: Salutary
Dear People,
There will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 11AM, and as of now there are still TWO slots left.
Please bring $2 for the field, which for this week only includes a defiantly anachronistic gift pack of hard whisky, hi-tar cigs and pure semi-churned butterfat
