Softball: Clippers
Dear People,
My team rallied from a catastrophic 11-run 4th-inning deficit to trounce Anthony's on the final hit of the game, 23-22, and if that doesn't touch an infracaninophilic chord in your otherwise jaded heart, then maybe it's time to see your interventional cardiologist. The fact is that we had fallen into a deep and seemingly inescapable abyss, and while I don't “blame” Chris Fure for the mid-game trauma that befell us, his four overthrows, six bobbled grounders and 23 other early-inning errors do tend to suggest that shortstop is perhaps an ill-advised position for those who are apparently high on life, Wheaties and a robust pre-match dosage of Ambien-PM-extra-strength-wipeout.
To be sure, his entire performance was an unsettling disgrace, and thus for our reputational integrity as a venerable aerobic peoples, I'd like to discreetly ask that you no longer invite him to our games or pose with him on Facebook, Instagram or Tumblr. Of course I'm hip to the current scene, and so if you're still determined to frolic with the Furinator, I suppose it's OK if you do so on Snapchat. Yeah, at the end of the day, I think we're all about self-protective inclusiveness.
In any case, our side clawed its way back with a breathaking series of multi-base blasts that Mel unleashed on the Antman's unsuspecting outfield, including a 7th-inning 3-RBI triple that shot past Michael Davey's rattled little head with such staggering trajectorial sass that it all but shouted out in its own orbitally inanimate way-“You girl-dissing bastard; Back the fuck up or die!” Indeed, it was that kind of hit, and for the record, I think Mikie will be pondering that pendulum-swinging message for many years to come. And therefore there will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 11, IF I get enough commits by this Friday morning. . . Raymond

Softball: Quickly from Boalt
Dear People,
There will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 11AM, and as of now it is full. As always, please let me know ASAP if you committed and need to cancel, and if you still want in, feel free to get on the wait list or contact me later for news of reopened slots.
Please bring $4 for the field (the extra $1 surchage is now over, having paid for a couple new bats and a dozen new balls)….Raymond
PS: My stupid Comcast tv/internet/phone are all down but will hopefully be back up by tonight. In the meantime, don't become bitter if it takes me longer than usual to get back to you.
