Softball: The Varied Levels of Governance
Dear People,
On an eerily windy afternoon in which the currents of calamity peppered the aerobic zeitgeist, my team stunned Chris Fure's, 23-12. There was no single cause for their unsightly implosion, though in retrospect, Tristan's multi-inning reversion to the somewhat mellow athletic style of his idyllic Dutch youth appeared to create a problematic situation in the Furinator's right-field ramparts. Of course we all know that ultimate responsibility rests with management, and yet their captain-pitcher-hero stubbornly failed to initiate a much needed reshuffling of his cratering defense.
By the top of the 8th, it was getting all a bit tragic, and thus in an act of sheer character and kindness, Stefano took Frank's advice to forego another blast to right for a more ethically honorable line drive up the middle. Unfortunately though, said ball promptly smashed into Chris's lower right tibia, thereby creating a curiously colorful contusion about twice the size of a fully adult rhino nard. Ironic.
The point is that I take the very concept of leadership seriously, and while it's still early, I have decided to officially announce that I am considering the possibility of forming an exploratory committee to analyze the feasibility of a potential run for the Republican nomination for President. I don't take such a step lightly, and I will obviously need to consult with my wife, my children and all of you. But if I do move on to the next stage in this indisputably solemn process (the actual forming of an exploratory committee to analyze the feasibility of a potential run), I can assure you that it will not taint the reputation of this league, and that indeed, I will actually be quite far from being the biggest buffoon in the race. And therefore there will be a game at Grove Park this Sunday at 4PM, IF I get enough commits by this Friday morning
