Softball: Growth from Adversity
Dear People,
Congratz to all on last weekends 13-6 waterlogged exercise in stout recreational perseverance. Indeed, as the genteel drizzle of the 5th inning slowly gave way to outright pounding rain--- cold, senseless and incessantly drippy---I could only observe with burgeoning pride as every player present insisted on carrying on. By the bottom of the 9th, our cherished Codornices had begun to resemble the Mekong Delta, but thats OK, because unlike those in the over-pampered Major Leagues, our love of sport does not flounder on the inconvenience of a dry field denied. Yes, I doubt we average even 1/3rd their pay per season, and I suppose that the international media will rarely cover our games. Nevertheless, my faith in the inherent ethical worth of our weekly endeavors is now greater than ever, ensconced as it is, deep within the emotive cellular tissue of my inferior vena cava.
Regretfully, I still have little time to galvanize you further, yet I believe the recent realities of your own raw intrepidity is all the inspiration that you will need this week. Think about it. "The recent realities of your own raw intrepidity." I think you see my point. Therefore, there will be a game at Codornices this Sunday, February 27th, at 1PM, IF I get enough commits by this Friday morning
