Softball: The Perilous Fork of Choice Itself
Dear People,
Let the record show that my fragile little cerebellum was imploding in a cauldron of guilt, angst and basic Hebraic abulia when I finally snuffed out your slowly fading hopes for aerobic release, just minutes before my self-imposed 10AM deadline. In any case, while credit and blame are obviously flip sides of the same fateful coin, I can walk with my bosom held high, knowing that I saved an abstract number of you from the general misery, cholera and tertiary tourettes that would've been inevitable if we had tried to play through that ceaseless and despicable drizzle. Hey, you're welcome.
Of course, let's not kid ourselves; Had the sun actually shone in the hours that followed, it would've transformed that cancellation into a corrosive fiasco degrading my very ability to govern you. Indeed, I would've been deeply resented, likely impeached and forever banished from this league, and yet just to be clear, I would've embraced it all as the verdict of a kindly and sagacious folk with just a smidgen of the capricious inner bitch that makes modern democracy so utterly inspirational. And therefore there will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 11, IF I get enough commits by this Friday morning….Raymond
