Softball: Adieu
Dear People,
Ellen’s team beat my own 15-13, and just for the record, it was my groundball to second with two out and the tying run on deck in the top of the 9th which destroyed our hopes, ended the game and marked the last pitiful out of the entire year. Yes, I am the very essence of pure athletic failure, and for that reason alone, I must immediately leave the country and flee to Hong Kong, China and Vietnam.
In my stead, Vince will be organizing the next two games. He is a warm and upstanding aerobic gentleman of keen organizational acumen (in theory), but just in case, he has my permission to delegate to others, or, if necessary, to rule like Ivan the Terrible.
